Discussion / Comments:
Toumarkine & Luterbacher (1985):
The main feature of G. cryptomphala is the last chamber which covers the umbilicus like an irregularly-shaped bulla.
Van Eijden & Smit (1991):
Remarks. G. cryptomphala can resemble Catapsydrax howei (Blow and Banner, 1962). We consider it an extreme form of G. eocaena Guembel, 1868 with an aberrant final chamber.
