Species Globigerina brevispira Subbotina 1960

Discussion / Comments:
Rögl (1985):
The aperture of the very small and low trochospiral species measuring only 0. 1-0.2 mm, has an umbilical extraumbilical position. Krasheninnikov & Pflaumann (1977) for this reason placed it into the genus Globorotalia. However, the wall texture shows more resemblance to that of Globigerina, for which reason it is here left in this genus
