Species Globigerina tarchanensis Subbotina & Chutzieva 1950

Discussion / Comments:
Rögl (1985):
G. tarchanensis differs from G. concinna and the G. ciperoensis group in its smaller size and in having the aperture bordered by a lip. From G. c. ottnangiensis it differs in the smaller chambers increasing more gradually in size. In comparison, Globigerina subcretacea is smaller, has a very flat troehospire and an aperture extending towards the periphery.
