Species Chilina antiquata d'Orbigny 1842

Discussion / Comments:
Griffin & Nielsen (2008):
TYPE MATERIAL. Syntypes could not be located in the collections of the MHNH in Paris and they are probably lost. REMARKS. These shells were neither described nor illustrated by d’Orbigny, because of the poor material he had available. He was sure, though, that they belonged in Chilina. The name must remain a nomen nudum. Parodiz (1969) noted that “this species was never figured (…) and apparently it has not been collected since d’Orbigny”.
