Species Globigerinoides quadrilobatus d'Orbigny 1846



Diagnosis / Definition:
Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Test low trochospiral, chambers spherical three and a half to four chambers in the final whorl increasing moderately in size as added; sutures on both spiral and umbilical sides slightly curved and depressed; surface distinctly cancellate, umbilicus narrow, primary aperture interiomarginal, umbilical, a distinct arch bordered by a rim. The last few chambers show one supplementary aperture opposite the primary aperture.
Discussion / Comments:
Vincent & Toumarkine (1990):
The four subspecies G. quadrilobatus immaturus, G. quadrilobatus trilobus, G. quadrilobatus quadrilobatus, and G. quadrilobatus sacculifer were not separated in the species examination for this report.
