Discussion / Comments: |
Boudagher-Fadel et al. (1997):
Remarks: This species is distinguished in having
depressed sutures, muricae concentrated near
the periphery and on the early sutures of the earlier
part of the last whorl, the muricae fusing into a
peripheral muricocarina on the early chambers of
the last whorl, the later chambers being compressed
but not carinate.
This species is the intermediate stage between
A. bentonensis (Morrow) and Planomalina
buxtor- (Gandolfi) |
