Pflaumann & Krasheninnikov (1977):
Four to five spherical chambers forming the last whorl, spira
slightly evolute. According to Longoria (1974, p. 85), it differs from
G. blowi by its ovate peripheral outline and by its semievolute coiling.
The type comes from the Gargasian of France; Longoria reported it
from early Aptian to lower part of Globigerinelloides ferreolensis
Zone of the late Aptian with occurrences in Crimea, Mexico, Spain,
and California. |
