Discussion / Comments:

Caron (1985):
T. praeticinensis differs from T. roberti in the subrounded periphery. Where pustules occur on the early chambers of the last whorl, they gradually decrease in size and number to finally diappear altogether on the ultimate chambers. This species gave rise to R. subticinensis by the progressive development of a pseudo-keel.
Pflaumann & Krasheninnikov (1977):
This species is intermittent between Ticinella and Rotalipora, as its periphery is rounded-subrounded, but covered by pustules, which unite especially in the earlier whorls. The peripheral view shows a subangular outline. Its occurrence in Hole 369A is in the upper part of the range of Ticinella roberti and in the basal part of Rotalipora ticinensis Zone, (Sections 43-4 to 43-1) few to rare.
