Alternative name:
Diagnosis / Definition:
Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Test medium size, low trochospiral, equatorial periphery lobulate, axial periphery rounded, chambers spherical, five in the final whorl, increasing uniformly in size; sutures on both spiral and umbilical sides slightly curved to radial, depressed; surface cancellate with circular pores and polygonal ridges; umbilicus small, open; aperture a low arch bordered by a rim interiomarginal, umbilical-extraumbilical.
Discussion / Comments:
Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Gr. (J.) semivera is an intermediate form linking Gr. (J.) opima and Gr. (J.) siakensis. It is distinguished from Gr. (J.) opima by possessing five chambers in the final whorl and in having a higher-arched, rimmed aperture. Gr. (J.) siakensis usually has more than five chambers in the final whorl.
