Diagnosis / Definition: |
Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Test low trochospiral, flattened to slightly convex spiral side and high vaulted umbilical side, equatorial periphery gently quadrilobate, axial periphery bluntly rounded, chambers angular, conical, four in the final whorl increasing slowly in size; sutures on spiral side slightly curved, depressed, on umbilical side sinuous to radial, depressed;
surface may be covered by dense pustules on earlier hambers, sparse on final chamber;
aperture a distinct high arch bordered by a rim, interiomarginal, umbilical-extraumbilical. |

Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Gr. (G.) puncticulata is distinguished from Gr. (G.) inflata by having not fewer than four chambers in the final whorl, in exhibiting less inflation, and a smaller aperture. |
