Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Test low trochospiral, equatorial periphery strongly lobulate; axial periphery broadly rounded; chambers spherical, strongly inflated, four to four and one-half rapidly increasing chambers in the final whorl, sutures radial, depressed; surface densely perforated with circular to subcircular pores and elevated circular spine bases . On early chambers, the spine bases tend to coalesce into regular ridges. Umbilicus wide, deep; aperture a low to medium arch without a lip or rim, interiomarginal,
