Toumarkine & Luterbacher (1985):
This subspecies differs from its ancestor, the subspecies frontosa by the flattening of the last chamber which gives the test a quadrangular aspect and leads to a stretching of the aperture which becomes slit-like rather than arch-like but does not reach the periphery.
