Toumarkine & Luterbacher (1985):
G. subconglobata curryi differs from G. mexicana kugleri in the larger size of the test (average 0.5-0.6 mm as against 0.35-0.40 mm), and the more robust wall-structure. It has a ' more restricted stratigraphic range. It differs from G. mexicana barri in the larger test size and the more deeply incised sutures which produce a less spherical test. Bullate specimens are not nearly as common as in G. mexicana barri. A continuous transition exists between G. subconglobata curryi and its successor G. subconglobata euganea. The former differs from the latter in having distinctly more incised sutures, more inflated chambers and consequently a less spherical form of the whole test. The coiling of the spire is looser. |
