Species Globigerina hagni Gohrbandt 1967

Discussion / Comments:
Toumarkine & Luterbacher (1985):
Globigerina hagni is close to G. eocaena. However, the chambers of the last whorl increase only slowly in size. G. hagni has 4 distinct chambers in the last whorl instead of 3 1/2 as in G. eocaena. These chambers are more or less of the same size, whereas the last chamber of G. eocaena is much larger than the preceding ones. G. hagni differs also from G. eocaena by its umbilical-extraumbilical aperture which is quite umbilical in G. eocaena.
