Subspecies Globorotalia fohsi fohsi Cushman & Ellisor 1939

Alternative name:
Discussion / Comments:
Bolli & Saunders (1985):
This subspecies differs from its ancestor peripheroacuta in a slightly larger average test size and in the presence of a delicate peripheral keel which is often not readily visible in the early chambers, particularly in more poorly preserved specimens.
Srinivasan (1975):
In the present work the views of Bolli (1967) concerning the Globorotalia fohsi group are followed. Globorotalia praefohsi Blow and Banner is included within the morphological range of G. fohsi fohsi.
