Discussion / Comments: |
Bolli & Saunders (1985):
The genus is defined and the species described in detail in Banner 2-4; Blow (1959, 1960b). The last one to three chambers in large, adult specimens (holotype 1.5 mm) are strongly elongated, often with a pointed end. Except for the initial stage which is said to be very slightly trochospiral, the chamber arrangement is basically planispiral. Specimens are generally rare and have only been reported from the Holocene. |
