Caron (1985):
The species differs from Hedbergella trocoidea, its direct ancestor, in the presence of supplementary apertures in the umbilical area and from T. roberti, its descendant, in having a flat spiral side.
Pflaumann & Krasheninnikov (1977):
Test low spirally coiled, 8-10 chambers forming the last whorl,
wide umbilicus and small supplementary apertures. The species is
known from uppermost Aptian and early Albian strata. |
