Discussion / Comments:
Caron (1985):
the species diners from A. cretacea in having only 4 instead of 5-6 chambers in the last whorl. The periphery is rounded, marked by an imperforate band which occurs mainly on the first one or two chambers of the last whorl.
Van Eijden & Smit (1991):
Remarks. Intermediate forms with R. rugosa (Plummer, 1926) occur in the Maestrichtian, but the species also occurs in older samples. The commonly dominating occurrence in the 125-250-ėm fractions is due to the "dumping" of small Archaeoglobigerina forms into this species.
