Discussion / Comments: |
Caron (1985):
The species is characterized by an imperforate wide peripheral
band separating two keels which may be absent on the last
chamber. The profile is similar to that of D. canaliculata, but differs from that species in its long, umbilical - extraumbilical - nearly peripheral primary aperture, bordered by a narrow lip. The umbilicus is shallow, without protections like portici or tegilla. |
