Discussion / Comments:
Caron (1985):
M. schneegansi differs from M. sigali in having more inflated and petaloid-shaped chambers, increasing more rapidly in size, and umbilical sutures which are not raised- It diners from Dicarinella primitiva in its typical keel formed by two closely spaced parallel rows of pustules (Caron, 1974, pl. 1, figs. 4-5). Some specimens show intermediate characters between the genera Dicarinella and Marginotruncana.
