Discussion / Comments:

Caron (1985):
Specimens of P. patpebra are generally larger than those of P. excolata and costae are finer and more numerous. The supplementary sutural apertures near the median line are protected by low and broad tips.
Van Eijden & Smit (1991):
Remarks. This species is usually rare; we found it in the upper Maestrichtian at Site 758. Elsewhere it is also known from the middle Maestrichtian.
