Species Rugoglobigerina scotti Brönnimann 1952

Discussion / Comments:
Caron (1985):
R. scotti resembles R.hexacamerata but differs in that its final chamber is compressed and has an imperforate peripheral band. The compression of only the last chamber was taken by Brönnimann as the reason to create a new genus Ticinella. Following Pessagno (1967) we consider that this feature alone does not justify a new genus.
