G. labiacrassata, with its distinctive very thick lipped aperture, is restricted in New Zealand to the late Early to early Late Oligocene and to the Late Oligocene at both DSDP Leg 29
Sites 277 and 282 (Jenkins, 1971, 1975) and Leg 40, Site 360 (Tournarkine, 1978).
