Species Globigerina pauciloculata Jenkins 1966

Discussion / Comments:
Jenkins (1985):
Distinctive features of G. pauciloculata include its relatively small size (diameter 0. 17 mm) and simple globigerine morphology reminiscent of G. eugubina to which it may be related. The wide range of variation in test morphology is illustrated in Jenkins (1966a). This small, distinctive species has only been recorded in the Early Paleocene of the Waipara section in New Zealand where it initially occurs below the first appearance of Globigerina daubjergensis.
