Kennett & Srinivasan (1983): Test low trochospiral, equatorial periphery quadrilobate; chambers inflated, compressed, four in the final whorl increasing slowly in size; sutures on the spiral side depressed and slightly curved, on umbilical side depressed, slightly sinuous to radial; surface uniformly perforated with small, subhexagonal pore pits; umbilicus small; aperture a distinct rimmed arch, interiomarginal, umbilical-extraumbilical. |

Kennett & Srinivasan (1983): Gr. (G.) zealandica differs from its direct ancestor Gr. (G.) incognita in its larger test size and in the development of more inflated umbilical side and in peripheral compression. |
