Species Praehedbergella longorii Banner & Desai 1988

Discussion / Comments:
Moullade et al. (2002):
This species was described by Banner & Desai (1988) from the Aptian of Speeton (England)and chosen by these authors as the type of a new genus (Lilliputianella). To date we have not identified this species in the Tethyan domain, and we do not agree with separating as a distinct genus the numerous and fleeting morphotypes which, within the highly polymorphous populations of basal Gargasian praehedbergellids, are characterized by variable degrees of radial elongation of the last chambers.
