Bolli (1957): Globorotalia spinulosa Cushman is likely to be the ancestor of G. lehneri Cushman and Jarvis. Forms transitional between the two species are common. Typical G. spinulosa are umbilicoconvex; G. lehneri is very strongly compressed with both sides about equally convex. |
