Species Jenkinsina samwelli Jenkins 1978

Discussion / Comments:
Jenkins (1985):
The small triserial test of J. samwelli easily distinguishes it from other Jenkinsina species because it possesses supplementary apertures (Jenkins, 1978b). In South Australia J. samwelli (as G. stavensis) ranges from the Early Oligocene to the early Late Oligocene (Lindsay, 1969). In New Zealand and at DSDP Leg 29 Sites 279 and 282 and the Southeastern Atlantic Leg 40 Site 360 it has a very short range at the base of the Late Oligocene (Jenkins, 1974, 1978c).
