Species Globigerina bermudezi Seiglie 1963

Discussion / Comments:
Bolli & Saunders (1985):
The species shows much variation. The early stage of the low trochospiral form is similar to G. bulloides. The distinguishing character of the species lies in the last and occasionally also in the penultimate chamber becoming laterally narrower and at the same time extending towards the umbilical side, partly overhanging the wide umbilical pit. There is a tendency for the final chamber and occasionally also the penultimate one to become partly detached. Such detachment may also extend to the spiral side where irregularly shaped secondary apertures form.
