Boudagher-Fadel et al. (1997): Remarks: This species has five chambers in the final whorl visible dorsally, while four abut the umbilicus on the ventral side; the umbilicus is deep and narrow, and is sometimes covered by a bulla, as in the holotype. The surface of the chamber is coarsely reticulate, and the bulla has a weaker reticulation. The reticulate favose pattern of F. hiltermanni is much coarser than that of F. washitensis (Carsey) and the cells are broader and their floors are very flat; the umbilicus of the holotype of F. hiltermanni is very narrow. |
