Diagnosis / Definition:
Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Test low trochospiral, equatorial periphery slightly lobate, axial periphery rounded or with a tendency to become subangular; chambers ovate, six to eight in the final whorl, increasing slowly in size as added; sutures on spiral side curved and depressed, on umbilical side radial, distinctly depressed; surface finely pitted; umbilicus narrow, aperture interiomarginal, extraumbilical-umbilical, a distinct arch, bordered by a lip.
Discussion / Comments:
Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Gr. (F.) kugleri is distinguished from Gr. (F.) peripheroronda by having one or two additional chambers in the final whorl and from Gr. (F.) birnageae by having an additional one or two chambers in the final whorl and an open umbilicus.
