Diagnosis / Definition:
Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Test very small, low trochospiral, equatorial periphery quadrilobate, axial periphery rounded, chambers spherical to subspherical, four to four and one-half in the final whorl, increasing rapidly in size as added; spiral sutures curved and depressed, on umbilical side radial, depressed. Surface fairly smooth with fine pustules; umbilicus narrow; aperture a low arch with a thin lip, interiomarginal, umbilical-extraumbilical.
Discussion / Comments:
Kennett & Srinivasan (1983):
Gr. (Te.) munda is distinguished from "Gr." nana by its small size and pustulate surface. This species developed from Gr. (Te.) gemma in the early Oligocene and is ancestral to Gr. (Te.) clemenciae Bermudez.
