Diagnosis / Definition: |
Berggren & Norris (1997):
Relatively small to medium size (~0.2-0.35mm in diameter), tightly coiled, subcircular test with distinctly lobulate peripheral outline; 9-11 globular chambers coiled in a low to (less frequent) moderately high trochospire, 3 1/2-4 chambers in the last whorl, last chamber equal to, or slightly curved and depressed between inflated chambers on both sides of test; umbilicus relatively small, narrow, aperture a distinct intraumbilical. low arch bordered by a thin lip; wall texture spinose, weakly but distinctly cancellate with clearly developed pore pits. |
