Species Globigerina daubjergensis Bronnimann 1939

Diagnosis / Definition:
Bolli (1957):
Coiling random. Largest diameter of figured hypotype 0.16 mm.
Discussion / Comments:
Toumarkine & Luterbacher (1985):
Globigerina daubjergensis stands for an entire plexus of high trochospiral forms with a relatively small and tapering inner whorl and 3-4 chambers in the last whorl. In typical specimens, the wall-structure is hispid with scattered small pores.
Bolli (1957):
Globigerina daubjergensis Bronnimann differs from all other known early Paleocene Globigerina species in its small size and in the distinctly trochospiral arrangement of the chambers. G. spiralis Bolli, new species, displays a similar trochospiral coiling but is larger in size and possesses more chambers.
