Subspecies Globigerinatheka index tropicalis Blow & Banner 1962

Discussion / Comments:
Toumarkine & Luterbacher (1985):
The general shape of the test and the arrangement of the chambers are the same as in the other subspecies of G. index. G. index tropicalis differs from G. index index in having a more delicate wall and less deeply incised sutures, but specimens intermediate in character exist. [...] G. index tropicalis differs from G. semiinvoluta by its more individualized chambers, by its less globular final chamber and its more elongated general shape of the test.
