Species Alanlordella aptiensis Longoria 1974

Discussion / Comments:
Boudagher-Fadel et al. (1997):
Remarks: This species has five to six inflated chambers in the last whorl, increasing gradually in size, a strongly lobate periphery and wide umbilici. Although it has no muricae, its wall is distinctly macroperforate and the species is clearly an early form of Alanlordella. It is similar to A. bentonensis (Morrow) but has much broader umbilici, more deeply depressed intercameral sutures, and fewer chambers in the last whorl (five to six, compared to seven to eight).
