Discussion / Comments:
Toumarkine & Luterbacher (1985):
As noticed by Bolli (1972) and Blow (1979), G. subconglobata micro has affinities to Globigerina senni by its relatively thick wall and the fine spinose projections in the umbilical area ('muricae'. Blow, 1979). A possible synonymy of G. subconglobata micro with G. orbiformis Cole would still have to be investigated (see Bolli, 1972).
