Species Globigerinita naparimaensis Brönnimann 1951

Discussion / Comments:
Bolli & Saunders (1985):
The original illustration of the holotype and even Bolli, Loeblich & Tappan's redrawing are somewhat misleading because the last chamber, which wraps around from the left of the specimen (Fig. 17.7c) and crosses the umbilicus is so thin as to be almost invisible. Its 2 apertures over the earlier sutures are visible as is also an early Globigerina aperture opening into the umbilicus. So far, this morphological type has not been found frequently and is of little stratigraphic value.
