Species Hastigerinella clavacella Rögl 1969

Discussion / Comments:
Rögl (1985):
H. clavacella differs from Clavatorella bermudezi in its larger test size, up to 0.9 mm, with chambers arranged in a medium to high troehospire, becoming streptospiral in the final stage. in comparison, C. bermudezi has a very flat troehospire of nearly planispiral aspect. Chamber forms in the two species are similar with a trend for later ones to become more elongate and club shaped. Chambers in H. digitata are more finger like and clavate and are arranged in a lower troehospire compared with H. clavacella.
