Species Cassigerinella winniana Howe 1939

Discussion / Comments:
Bolli & Saunders (1985):
For comparison of this species with C. chipolensis see above. Records of the species are too poor to provide reliable information on its total range. From data available it seems largely restricted to the Late Eocene, though the holotype was described from a Claiborne sample (i.e. probable late Middle Eocene), and Blow (1979) extends the range into the Early Oligocene (Zone P 19) and suggests that there C. winniana grades into chipolensis.
