Griffin & Nielsen (2008): TYPE MATERIAL. Holotype housed in the Typothèque of the Laboratoire de Géologie under number MNHN-Gg2002/72. REMARKS. No material apart from the holotype is known. Assignment to a better fitting genus is not possible at the moment because more material is needed, including specimens with a preserved outer lip. After publishing the plates, Hupé noted that Fusus sulcatus was preoccupied by F. sulcatus Lamarck, 1816 and therefore renamed this species in the later appearing text. |
