Species Globigerina tripartita Koch 1926
Discussion / Comments:
Van Eijden & Smit (1991): Remarks. This species is always underrepresented because it is commonly broken or damaged. Aberrant final chambers occur commonly. A variety of this species with two very large chambers in the final whorl (informally named Globigerina sp. bipartita"; PI. 2, Figs. 10-12) occurs in the Oligocene at Site 758. |
