Species Rostellaria gaudichaudi d'Orbigny 1842

Discussion / Comments:
Griffin & Nielsen (2008):
TYPE MATERIAL. A thorough search through the collections in Paris did not reveal any possible type material. The type material must therefore be considered lost. REMARKS. This species is known from late Eocene sediments of northern Peru (Olsson 1928) and southern Peru (DeVries 2004). Since the siphonal canal has never been observed completely preserved, the generic assignment remains tentative (DeVries 2004).
