Subspecies Turborotalia cerroazulensis cerroazulensis Cole 1928

Discussion / Comments:
Toumarkine & Luterbacher (1985):
Turborotalia cerroazulensis cerroazulensis differs from T. cerroazulensis pomeroli by its flattened spiral side which gives a more angular aspect in lateral view. The aperture is higher, it itends to migrate towards the umbilicus and does aot reach the, periphery. However, the two subspecies are linked by an uninterrupted series of intermediate forms.
